Before any grooming, every dog gets time outside to run, sniff, and settle in. Once they've burned off that energy and started to feel comfortable around me, we move inside — and the whole session tends to go much more smoothly.
It's just the two of us. One dog at a time, in a private space — no unfamiliar sounds, no strange smells from other animals. Sue is with your dog from start to finish.

When I was living in Europe, I kept noticing the dogs — in cafés, on trains, everywhere. They looked effortlessly well-kept and completely at ease. I wanted to understand how, so I started learning. That curiosity led to a European grooming certification, and eventually to Hazel & Co.

You're welcome to cancel or reschedule up to 48 hours before your appointment at no charge. Cancellations after that window, or no-shows, will forfeit the deposit. You can manage your booking directly from the confirmation email.
Honest coat descriptions help — both for your dog and for accurate pricing. If I find significant matting on the day, the session may take longer, or I may recommend a shorter cut for your dog's comfort. If you're unsure, feel free to send a photo beforehand and I'll let you know what to expect.
If your dog has a history of biting or reactive behaviour, please let me know when you book. I'd rather have that conversation upfront than be caught off guard — it's better for both of us, and especially for your dog. Severe cases may not be a good fit, but let's talk first.
